Salford Skills for Business Apprenticeship Fund

The Salford Skills for Business Apprenticeship Fund is a trailblazing new organisation that is helping the city's businesses to develop and unlock local talent. Developed by Salford based public and private sector organisations, including dock10, the fund provides small and medium sized organisations with financial support to help cover the cost of employing a new apprentice or providing professional development for their workforce.

Since its launch in 2019, the Salford Skills for Business Apprenticeship Fund has supported 29 organisations and 58 individuals to undertake an apprenticeship – matching local talent with local businesses. The fund has invested nearly half-a-million pounds thanks to its partners dock10, Salford City Council, Apprenticeships at Salford City College, Bupa, Kingsland Drinks, Salford CCG, Salix Homes, Seddon, University of Salford, Sodexo, Morson Group and Compass Apprenticeships.
