dock10 is proud to be supporting Rise
dock10 is proud to be supporting Rise - a group for Women in Broadcast. Rise is an advocacy membership group to support women from all backgrounds working in the broadcast technology sector. Their goal is to ensure that there is a diverse and gender balanced workforce across the specific areas of: engineering, technical operations, sales, marketing and business.
They aim to open up more opportunities for women through holding regular networking events and seminars, our annual mentoring programme, as well as celebrating the skills and achievements with our Rise Awards. We are also working for a more diverse and inclusive sector through our new schools outreach programme, Rise Up. The women that will benefit from joining Rise will be in non-craft roles in any type of broadcast manufacturer, service provider or end user.
As we move back into live events we are delighted to support Rise with their first event will be held in the regions and at Media City, 'Championing Broadcast Careers in the Regions'. At the event attendees got to hear from Rise mentors and mentees, local technology manufacturers and women leading the way in BBC Sport.
