dock10 Innovation Day to showcase 4K-HDR, virtual studios and AI with more than 30 exhibitors including IBM, BBC R&D and Microsoft

dock10, the UK’s leading television facility, has confirmed an impressive line-up for its fourth annual Innovation Day on Thursday 28thJune. As always, the event will showcase the latest technical and creative innovations from more than 30 selected broadcast specialists and technology pioneers, this year including IBM, BBC R&D, Sony, Ross Video, Avid and EVS. Along with exciting demonstrations, attendees will have the chance to get hands-on with a range of revolutionary products that are set to enhance and transform content creation, including native 4K-HDR, virtual studio solutions and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

To explore the capabilities of native 4K-HDR there will be a studio shoot-out between the very latest cameras from three key manufacturers. Sony, Grass Valley and Ikegami will all be showcasing some seriously impressive technology in what promises to be a visually striking experience. Turning to virtual studio solutions, Ross Video and Aximmetry will be demoing some exceptional green screen solutions. It will also be the very first time that Zero Density will show their extraordinary LED wall ‘Portal Window’ in the UK – a must see for the bigger light entertainment shows. Finally, with a growing list of companies now using AI and cognitive learning to support their production, dock10 has organised demos from four of the leaders in this field: IBM, NMR, Avid and EVS.

Alongside the exhibitors, presentations and demonstrations will be four panel discussions covering the RISE initiative for inspiring women in broadcast, the impact of virtual studios, the role of AI in future television production, and how to really interact with audiences. The panellists, all specialists in their area, are drawn from across the industry including Zero Density, Avid, IBM, Epic Games and BBC R&D.
