Red Production Company

dock10 was commissioned to post produce "Traces" - an original 6 part drama for Red Production Company. Written by Amelia Bullmore based on an original idea by best-selling crime writer Val McDermid. Traces is a suspense-filled crime thriller told from a fresh point of view, where forensic science takes centre stage. Traces introduces us to three compelling and very different female characters who together will use the rigors of forensics to uncover the truth about an unsolved murder case.

How we did it:

Working with the production team from the outset, dock10 completed the full end-to-end post production on this series from dailies to final delivery with offline edits remotely in London. dock10 Senior Colourist Jamie Parry used Baselight to match the dark and often gritty scripts whilst enhancing the beauty locations that were used for filming. This was especially important for the blending of wide vistas intercut with drone shots. Jamie worked with the series DOP, producer and director to ensure the right look for the series which perfectly complemented the complex stories that were being told. Picture finishing for this series was completed by dock10's online editor Sam Butler using Avid Symphony and Audio Dubbing was carried out by Patrick Morris.

Equipment used:

Baselight, Avid Symphony, Pro Tools and Signiant Media Shuttle.
